Back to basics: "Light Phone"
In a world where smartphones can generate emoticons and even recipes on the fly, a US phone company is going back to basics and switching to an "easy" approach.
The Light Phone company says that its devices are designed to be used as little as possible. The developers are focused on those who want to take a break from smartphones and make a choice in favor of a more conscious existence.
User Experience
"Our users describe the hours they spend at home every day and the peace of mind that comes from using the Internet more purposefully," the company said in a statement on its website.
Light Phone 3 is the latest version. The third-generation phone will cost $399 and will be available in early 2025.
Features of the "silent phone"
The so-called "dumb phone" can make calls and send text messages, but it doesn't have apps, social media, email, or an internet browser. The largest update compared to previous versions is a black and white OLED screen with a diagonal of 3.92 inches. The phone also received a pair of cameras: a 50-megapixel on the back and an 8-megapixel selfie camera on the front.
