Apple Expands Sales of Vision Pro in Europe and Asia
Apple is preparing to launch sales of its Vision Pro augmented reality headset in Europe and Asia, aiming to revive interest in the product after reducing the initial hype in the United States.
According to Bloomberg, the company expects high demand in countries such as China and Japan, where augmented reality technologies are very popular.
Last week, Apple held four-day trainings for retail store employees from various countries, including Germany, France, Australia, Japan, South Korea and Singapore. This indicates the markets where Vision Pro will go on sale soon.
Sales in the USA Did Not Meet Expectations
Despite expectations, sales of the headset in the United States turned out to be lower than predicted, and some stores report selling only a few units per week. Even in the secondary market, for example, in Hong Kong, the device is sold at a lower retail price.
Reasons For Weak Sales
Experts believe that weak sales are due to the high cost of the device — $3,499, which is significantly higher than the cost of the flagship iPhone, as well as a lack of content and useful applications for Vision Pro. In response, Apple stepped up its marketing efforts, began to advertise the headset more actively on its website and conduct surveys among retail store employees to find out the reasons for the refusals to purchase.
