Last Friday, May 3, the Local Government Board (JGL) approved the award of the drafting of the construction project for the completion of the Poniente Dam, through advance processing of the expense, contract based on the Framework Agreement, Lot 7.
Adjudication
The drafting of the project has been awarded to the commercial CAYETANO BERNABÉ INGENIERO Y ASOCIADOS, S.L., JORGE JUAN BERNABÉ BROTONS and SALVADOR MORENO ZAMBUDIO, UTE, for an award amount of 59,711.58 euros (VAT included). The term of execution of the contract will be 60 days, counting from the date of notification of the award agreement by the contracting authority.
The Poniente Dam is an element of high urban interest, since on the one hand it expands the public space for citizens and, on the other, it is a first-class tourist resource just like the Levante Dam is. Also, its link with Avenida Desiderio Rodríguez and Avenida de Pinoso represents an essential knot for the circulation of the city.
Meetings
After several working meetings of the Mayor of Torrevieja with the heads of the public company ACUAMED, S.A., it was agreed by both parties that, in view of the fact that the procedures to carry out these projects were not being expedited and were being eternalized, and in view of the concern that the citizenry transfers to him because of so much delay.
It would be the City Council of Torrevieja itself that would assume the drafting of the completion project of the Paseo del Dique de Poniente. Therefore, once the project has been drafted by the winning company, it will be delivered to ACUAMED so that they can execute the completion works.
In the field of action, on an approximate area of 7,240 m2, the execution works of the promenade are unfinished, so it is intended to complete the urbanization and replenish the degraded infrastructures that need their replacement and adaptation to the conditions established by current legislation. All this with the aim of solving the problems that are generated in the area, improving the quality of life and services of the neighbors.
Safety
Units will be established that improve the safety conditions of the users, the durability of the materials used, the efficiency in their maintenance and the energy efficiency of the construction units, paying special attention to the elements of furniture to be placed: lighting, pergolas, bins, fountains, and other elements of the urbanization for their replacement.
