Renfe has announced the launch of new high-speed AVE trains that will connect Madrid with two key regions of Spain: Galicia and Asturias. This initiative will expand the opportunities to travel around the country by providing faster and more convenient routes.
News in Renfe
For the new routes, the advanced s106 AVE trains, better known as Avril, manufactured by Talgo, are used. These trains can reach speeds of up to 300 km/h, which significantly reduces travel time. On the new faster route connecting Madrid with Asturias, the journey will take just three hours and six minutes.
The new trains will start operating from May 21 to July 21, giving passengers a wide range of options for planning their trips. Renfe has also launched a special campaign selling tickets at a reduced price starting from 18 euros, which makes high-speed train travel more accessible for a wide range of passengers. To benefit from this promotion, tickets must be purchased at least 10 days before the date of travel.
In this way, Renfe aims to meet the growing demand for fast and convenient transport solutions, while maintaining accessibility thanks to low ticket prices. It is expected that this innovation will boost the development of tourism and business between Madrid and the regions of the northwest of Spain, as well as providing passengers with a more comfortable and Moderna travel.
