Collapse of the Roof in a Shopping Center in Malaga
The events took place on Saturday afternoon. About noon a part of the false ceiling that covers the area of the cinemas in the Rincón de la Victoria shopping center collapsed. At that time it was closed to the public, so sources consulted by EFE point out that no personal injuries had occurred.
No Response from the Complex
The Malaga newsroom has tried to contact those responsible for the complex today to find out more about it, but from the surveillance and private security service of the premises, who have answered the phone to this newspaper, they have not expanded on details. What is known has been communicated by the EFE agency, which claims that the false ceiling gave way around noon, in the area of the bar where the screens are and that is the space to serve drinks and food. That area was immediately enclosed and the part where the screening rooms are was closed to avoid risks. According to them, the intervention of the police and firefighters has not been needed. It has been the security and maintenance personnel of the shopping center themselves who have carried out the preventive activities.
No Record in Emergencies
Malaga Today contacted yesterday with emergencies and with the Local Police of Rincón de la Victoria to see if they could expand details. Both one and the other had no knowledge of the facts around 22.30 pm at night.
