Jaime Penafiel Continues Attacks on the Royal Family
A New Scandalous Book
Journalist Jaime Penafiel has again attacked the Spanish royal family with revelations. In his new book, The Silence of Leticia, he claims that King Philip VI is "crushed and destroyed" because of the infidelities of his wife Leticia. The British newspaper Daily Mail picked up on this sensation, exposing the monarchs in a bad light. In January, Penafiel was fired from the newspaper El Mundo after 20 years of work due to a series of accusations in his first book, Letizia and Me. It claimed that the queen had a romantic relationship with Jamie del Burgo before the wedding. The royal family declined to comment on the allegations.
Details of the Changes
In a new book, Peñafiel claims that Philip VI was aware of Leticia's infidelities thanks to reports from bodyguards. According to him, the king has been living in "hell" for a long time because of his wife's betrayals and now wants to break this vicious circle.
The author describes Leticia as a passive-aggressive and immature person who torments Philip VI from the very beginning of their relationship. Peñafiel declares that all members of the royal family hate Leticia and that the king is pathetic in his surveillance of an unfaithful wife. The publication jeopardizes the 20-year marriage of the monarchs. Penafiel, who is popularly nicknamed "Leticia's worst enemy," has already been fired from El Mundo and Hola!, but this does not stop his revelations.
